Enjoy life

My Manna

"The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."John 10:10.

A wealthy businessman was shocked to see a fisherman sitting beside his boat, playing with a small child.

So the businessman asked, "Why aren't you out fishing?"

The fisherman replied, "Because I've caught enough fish for one day."

"Why don't you catch some more?" the businessman further inquired.

"What would I do with them?" asked the fisherman.

"You could earn more money," said the businessman. "Then with the extra money, you could buy a bigger boat, go into deeper waters, and catch more fish. Then you would make enough money to buy nylon nets. With the nets, you could catch even more fish and make more money. With that money you could own two boats, maybe three boats. Eventually you could have a whole fleet of boats and be rich like me."

"Then what would I do?" replied the fisherman.

"Then you could really enjoy life," answered the businessman.

The fisherman looked at the businessman quizzically and asked, "What do you think I'm doing now?"

Let's not get so wrapped up in work, that we simply forget to enjoy life-
- the life that He wants to give us more abundantly!

Take some time out this weekend and be sure to praise God for the life that He's provided.

Have a great weekend!

Dealing with troubles

If I say, 'I will forget my complaint, I will put off my sad face and wear a smile  ( Job 9:27 *nkjv  )

 Dear friend
     sometimes we all become sad and depressed because  of things that happen in our lives.  for sometimes we feel;
we are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed  ( 2 Corinthians 4:8-10 )

     now when you feel the pressures of life remember  the words of king david, for he wrote;
though I walk in the midst of trouble, you will revive me; you will stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and your right hand will save me.  (Psalm 138:7)

therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:16-18 )

     so
therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon him, for He cares for you. (1 peter 5:6-7 )

Return to me

"Return to me, and I will return to you," says the Lord Almighty.( Malachi 3:7 *NIV )

Dear Friend
There are times that we may find ourselves walking far from God. Know that if ever that happens to you it is because we have moved, not because God has left us. For the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake ou.( Deuteronomy 31:8 )

Now perhaps we find ourselves feeling abandoned by God because we are overwhelmed with problems, or because of the loss of a loved one. If that is the case remember that; He does not willingly bring affliction or grief to the children of men.( Lamentations 3:33 )

Therefore if you ever find yourself feeling far from our Heavenly Father, remember, that God is there with open arms to receive you back. So, take words with you and return to the Lord, say to Him, "forgive all our sins and receive us graciously." For then He will say; "I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely." (Hosea 14:2 & 4 ) After all that is His promise always, for Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. ( Hebrews 13:8 )

So if you are feeling far from God right now, let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the Lord. (Lamentations 3:40 ) For He loves you very much!

Now Friend, may the Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace, ( numbers 6:24-26 ) and may His; Grace be with you all. Amen. ( Hebrews 13:25 )

100%

My Manna

If I asked you to give God 100 percent-
- would you immediately think I meant money?
Don't worry!
This question really isn't about money.

It's about you!
All of you-

Heart, mind, soul and strength.
In fact, that's what God wants from you.
"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might." Deuteronomy 6:4-5.

And Jesus underscored this: "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." Matthew 22:37.

 That's definitely percent.
Jesus goes on to say, "This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbour as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets." Matthew 22:38-40.

Did you notice that it begins with love?
When you choose to love God like that, the obedience and the service fall into place.
You honour His commandments because your love for Him keeps you from lying, adultery, coveting, creating idols and all the rest. Exodus 20:1-17.

How's your heart for God?

The Bible talks about the heart as the center of all activity, the real intents and desires that drive and determine what you'll do and become, and "from it flow the springs of life." Proverbs 4:23.

Does your soul belong to God?
The soul is the eternal spirit, the "you-ness" God created in you that continues when your body fails and dies.

In talking about the end of a person's life, Ecclesiastes 12:7 describes it as "the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it"

Are you transformed by the renewal of your mind?
The mind is your will, where you make choices and reason through your actions or attitudes.
"Be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." Romans 12:2.
What choices have you made to follow God?

What decisions do you try to make without Him?
Have you surrendered your body as a living sacrifice?

You can't leave out your physical strength, the body, because it houses (for our time on earth) all the rest. "I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship." Romans 12:1.

How much of your mind, heart, soul and even body have you given to God?
Do you think you're holding onto something that He wants from you?
What's keeping you from giving 100 percent?

So, how do you do this 100 percent thing?

There's no easy formula.
But it begins with a choice.

Choose to love God-
- for who He is and what He's done for you.
Then start asking-
"How can I show God I love Him?
If I love God, what other choices do I make?"

He'll help you.
So make sure you ask God to show you each day how to give Him more and more of yourself.
